Membership Survey

Once a year, a membership survey which includes data on salary, specialty, and other metrics will be shared with all IL GCs. A detailed report will be housed and accessible to ISGP members year-round in the members-only corner of the ISGP website. If you are not currently a ISGP member, please consider joining to receive this great member benefit!

Join ISGP

ISGP has over 100 active members interested in issues related to the provision of genetic services in Illinois. Membership is open to genetics professionals and those interested in genetics in Illinois, including physicians, genetic counselors, nurses, researchers, and students. There are three categories of membership detailed below.

1. Full Membership $50.00 (USD), prorated to $25.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: March 1st No automatically recurring payments Full membership shall be extended to any person who: (1) holds a graduate degree from an accredited genetics program, or (2) holds a medical doctorate, or Master's or PhD degree in a related field such as nursing, social work or public health and whose primary responsibility at the time of application includes the delivery of genetic services, and/or performing genetics research, training or education, or (3) holds a bachelor's degree or associate degree and whose primary responsibility for at least three years prior to application was the delivery of genetics services, and/or performing genetic research, training or education.

Full members may attend all meetings of the members, vote, serve on the Board of Directors, servie as Chair of a committee, and serve as members of committees.

2. Associate Membership $40.00 (USD), prorated to $20.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: March 1st No automatically recurring payments Associate membership shall be extended to all applicants who are health care professionals, and to all applicants whose interests focuses on the delivery of genetic services, and/or performing genetics training, research or education who are not eligible for full membership or student membership.

Associate members have all privileges of Full members, except they may not vote, serve on the Board of Directors, or serve as Chair of a committee.

3. Student Membership $30.00 (USD), prorated to $15.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: March 1st No automatically recurring payments Student membership shall be extended to all students enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program and whose interests focus on the delivery of genetic services and/or performing genetics training, research or education.

Student members shall have all privileges of Full members, except they may not vote, serve on the Board of Directors, or serve as Chair of a committee.
